Beschreibung

After installing subversion from freetz-trunk rev 4837 i get an error that the server failed to start.

It obviously has something to do with the rights on the ext3 filesystem of my usb stick.

I created the repository as root — after restarting the server the owner of the repository is a user called svn.

There's no further information as i can't find any logfile with content

I think this is not a freetz-specific Problem. Try as simple solution to change the ownership of your repo, subfolders & files recursivly.

It has some thing to do with the way that subversion is installed on the system. The own. Changing the owner doesn't help.
I changed the owner to root but after restarting the service with the webinterface the owner oft the repository folder is again user "svn"

I got it — i had changed the owner of the ustor01 folder to ftpuser in order to reenable ftp on ext3 — therefore the user svn obviously hadn't had sufficient rights

After chmod 777 ustor01 everything works great
